Who we are

Resolve Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine is run by Andrea Garratt, 3 Wright Road, Upper Rissington, Cheltenham GL54 2NP. Andrea is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact her on 07702 928139.

What we collect

When you book, contact us or attend an appointment, we may collect your name, contact details, date of birth, GP details and the health information you share during consultations, including medication and medical history. We also keep records of appointments and payments.

Why we use it, and the lawful basis

We use your information to provide safe, appropriate care, to manage bookings and payments, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. Health information is special category data. We process it to provide health care and treatment under the professional obligations of the British Acupuncture Council, and with your explicit consent where required.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. Bookings are managed through Jane App, which processes data on our behalf. Messages sent through the contact form on this website are received by Netlify, our website host, and forwarded to Andrea by email. We would only share your information with others, such as your GP, with your consent, unless the law requires it or there is a risk to your or someone else’s safety.

How long we keep it

Clinical records are kept for the period recommended by the British Acupuncture Council and then securely destroyed. Other records are kept only as long as needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or, where appropriate, deleted or restricted. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled.

This website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded content such as Google Maps and booking links to Jane App are provided by those services and are governed by their own privacy policies. Fonts are hosted on this website, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to a font service.

The site remembers two small things in your own browser, and never sends them to us. If you switch animations off, that choice is saved on your device until you switch them back on. When you move between pages, the browser briefly stores where you clicked so the next page can open from that spot, and this clears when you close the tab.
